So I foolishly hit the reset button on my mill mid-toolchange (makino FNC-60, fanuc omc). I pressed the mechanical releases on the toolchange arm and have safely removed the tools from the arm, but now I need to send the arm back to home position in order to reset the toolchanger. There is a manual control panel on the side of the machine which has buttons to actuate this (BA, AB, etc), however this panel is completely unresponsive. Is there some sort of atc interlock button or manual override I need to press on the control in order to make these buttons respond? 2018 ttr 50 service manual pdf. Is there a special mode to make these buttons respond or another way to home the toolchanger?
I would really appreciate any help. Of course none of us ever has time for a machine to be down, and my situation is no exception. On the upside, there are no mechanical or electrical issues, I just don't know the proper key sequence to manually home the toolchanger. Unless the ATC is servo based you're probably not going to be able to cycle it from the control. Most small VMC's have cam operated ATC arms, with a single 3-phase motor that runs the entire cycle by just turning on. If the ATC cycle is stopped mid tool change the only way to recover is by manually cranking the ATC motor until the arm retracts to home position. Typically there is a 10-12mm hex stud sticking out of the top of the ATC motor that you can crank around with a ratchet.

Usually the motor also has a brake that will fight you unless you disable it. Keep cranking till you get the arm back to home and it stops moving. Remove your ratchet and turn the brake back on, then try to reset the alarm.
I would like to gather up all the manuals I can for my new to me machine. It is a 1992 era Fanuc OMC. I have my machine specific wiring schematic and a partial list on the codes the MTB used, but I am sure that there is something I could learn in the operators manual. I did find a parameter manual online, but that is not what I am looking for. I have looked online and I have not come up with any. Ebay does not have any at this time.
I would rather not pay for new, although I am assuming that they are expensive if available, I have not tried that yet. Would anyone have one I could borrow or buy? Thanks, Jason. I find it useful to discover what the manual number is, then google for the pdf of said manual. Googling '0m operators manual' gave bad results. Thanks guys, I was not having any luck, I did find that Oi manual but of course that is not the right one. Heinz, I have been over to your site in the past but will have to check it out again.

What I am forgetting right now is the proper sequence of which buttons to push and when. I have not ran one since '07 so some of it I remember, but other stuff I need a refresher. I talked to a friendly local shop with a similar machine and I am going to go in tomorrow and watch over the guys shoulder, shouldn't take very long at all once I see him do it again.
